More than 120 members of the Fleurieu tourism industry came together at Yonder in Aldinga to mark a new chapter for the region, with the official launch of our new regional brand, Fleurieu.
The evening began with a Welcome to Country from Mark Koolmatrie, before Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism Chair Matthew Hurley and South Australian Tourism Commission CEO Emma Terry shared a few words with the room.
Regional Tourism Manager Holly Wyatt then took guests behind the new brand, sharing the thinking, collaboration and story that shaped it, alongside a film from Studio Untitled, the creative team who helped bring Fleurieu to life.
We also relaunched Fleurieu on Film, our ongoing storytelling series that hands the camera over to the people who know this place. Shot on film, with no endless camera roll and no perfectly curated second take, the series captures the Fleurieu through a more personal lens. Local cinematographer Sam Nicolson launched the new chapter, sharing his Fleurieu as seen through his own film camera.
The night was also a chance to celebrate some of the new ideas and businesses emerging across the region, hearing from Yonder, Monapilla Escape and Salty Finn Sauna.
Between the formalities, the room was exactly what we hoped it would be: industry catching up over canapés, new connections being made, plenty of conversation and Fleurieu goodie bags in hand.
A warm, playful night to launch a brand designed to feel much the same.
